Biography

Dawn M. Hand is an ordained elder in The United Methodist Church.

Hand has a passion for young people, inclusion, and justice witness. She welcomes diversity of ideology, political views and theological perspectives. Hand believes humanity has more in common that unites than divides us.

An engaged communicator and prominent advocate for social justice, she has led and collaborated in a variety of local, regional and national initiatives including immigration reform, alleviating children’s poverty, sacred resistance, and chronic homelessness/affordable housing.

Hand loves to cook, eat and travel. She loves her family. She loves God and believes God has a wonderful sense of humor for calling her into ordained ministry.
