Teresa Fry Brown

Rev Teresa L. Fry Brown, PhD is Associate Dean of Academic and Bandy Professor of Preaching at Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta. Dr. Fry Brown obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Religious and Theological Studies from Iliff School of Theology and the University of Denver, with an emphasis in Religion and Social Transformation (1996). Author of five monographs, she has sixty published reviews, chapters, and commentaries. She holds membership in the American Academy of Religion, Society for the Study of Black Religion, and Academy of Homiletics. An ordained Itinerant Elder in the AME Church, she serves as scholar in residence at New Bethel A.M.E. Church, Lithonia.
